At BREIA (Broward Real Estate Investors Association), we are committed to promoting integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct within the real estate investment community. This Code of Ethics outlines the principles and standards that guide our members, partners, staff, and anyone affiliated with BREIA.

By participating in our organization, members agree to uphold these values and conduct business in a manner that reflects honesty, respect, and responsibility.


1. Integrity and Honesty

We expect all BREIA members and affiliates to:

  • Conduct all business dealings honestly and transparently

  • Avoid misrepresentation or deceptive practices

  • Keep promises and fulfill contractual and professional obligations

  • Communicate truthfully with clients, partners, and the public


2. Legal Compliance

All members must:

  • Comply with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations

  • Adhere to fair housing laws and anti-discrimination policies

  • Maintain proper licensing where applicable

  • Stay informed on legal responsibilities in real estate transactions


3. Professional Conduct

BREIA promotes a culture of respect, professionalism, and courtesy. Members are expected to:

  • Treat clients, fellow investors, and the public with fairness and respect

  • Maintain professional boundaries and avoid conflicts of interest

  • Act responsibly in public forums, events, and online communities

  • Use BREIA platforms for constructive, educational, and ethical purposes


4. Transparency and Disclosure

Ethical investors are transparent in their dealings. Members agree to:

  • Disclose all material facts in transactions

  • Be upfront about potential risks, terms, and conditions

  • Avoid withholding or omitting information that could mislead clients or other parties


5. Responsibility to Clients and Community

Members shall:

  • Put the needs of clients and investors ahead of personal gain

  • Avoid exploiting vulnerable individuals or communities

  • Contribute positively to the local real estate market and neighborhoods

  • Promote education, empowerment, and ethical investing


6. Confidentiality

Members must respect and protect the confidentiality of client information and proprietary knowledge obtained through business activities or association involvement.


7. Accountability

BREIA reserves the right to review and investigate violations of this Code. Violations may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of membership or event participation privileges.


8. Commitment to Growth

We encourage continuous learning, collaboration, and personal development. Members are expected to:

  • Pursue ongoing education in real estate investing

  • Support fellow investors through ethical mentorship and cooperation

  • Embrace feedback, innovation, and growth in business and personal conduct
